Passes is a online content creation platform where subscribers can get a closer look at what a day in the life of a Division I athlete looks like. Subscribers have the ability to ask one-on-one questions to the athlete, attend the athlete’s live streams, as well as subscribe to the paid content such as seeing what the athlete does outside of the athletic facilities.
The software company was made famous for its partnership with LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne. Dunne’s partnership was the first NIL deal the company ever made, and it paved the way for other collegiate athletes to be sponsored by the platform. More notable names who utilize the platform include Shaquille O’Neal and musician Kygo.
The partnership with Texas One Fund is the first NIL Collective that Passes has partnered with. Passes will give unprecedented access to 40 different Texas athletes across all of their varsity sports teams. The selected Longhorns would be able to make money from Passes by promoting live streams, answering subscribers questions, as well as filming sponsored videos.
There are 40 athletes who will be joining Passes for the upcoming season. The athletes range from all sports like football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, baseball, and many others.
Texas Football Players Join Passes
Some of the football players Passes’ subscribers will have access to are: Quinn Ewers, Amari Niblack, CJ Baxter, Collin Simmons, Ethan Burke, Ryan Wingo, Isaiah Bond, Kelvin Banks Jr, and eight others.
How It Works
The Athletic Department, in general, plans to utilize the software provider to promote ticket giveaways, auction autographed items, raffle sideline passes, and many other fan experiences through the platform. Texas has always been the leader in the clubhouse when it comes to innovating their collective and athletic department, and this is just another way the Longhorns are separating themselves from the rest of the NCAA.
