AUSTIN — Head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are picking up steam on the 2027 recruiting trail, as proven by the offers going out and the visits that have been going on as the 2025 season is yet to hit its halfway point.

Offensive linemen are what make up a successful offense, and Texas is committed to finding the best of the best for the future. Currently, the Longhorns have offered nine tackles and six interior linemen.

Here’s an early look at the 2027 Texas linemen targets.

Tackles

• 5-star No. 2 OT Kennedy Brown (TX)
• 4-star No. 3 Caden Moss (MS)
• 4-star No. 7 Oluwasemilore Olubobola (NJ)
• 4-star No. 12 Jake Hildebrand (AZ)
• 4-star No. 16 Kaeden Scott (TX)
• 4-star No. 17 Jimmy Kalis (PA)
• 4-star No. 18 DeMarrion Johnson (TX)
• 4-star No. 19 Brian Swanson (TX)
• 3-star No. 32 Braylin Mills (GA)

Brown has a case to be the best offensive tackle in the nation at 6-feet-4 and 285 pounds as a junior. Given his current size halfway through his junior year, he’ll only get bigger, stronger, and better.

ESPN currently ranks Brown as its No. 1 player in the nation overall.

He’s coming out of Kingwood High School in Houston, and he’s already an early Texas lean. His ability to keep a rusher on the block and follow through to drive them back or to the ground is what sets him apart.

However, Moss also makes a case for best tackle in the class, but Ole Miss has already targeted him pretty heavily, and it does have a good chance to land him, considering its in-state status.

Swanson, though, has already landed predictions for him to commit to the Longhorns. The Dallas native has made a trip to Austin once this season, and he’d be a great pickup early on for Texas.

Interior linemen

• 4-star No. 8 Peyton Miller (TX)
• 4-star No. 10 Sidney Rouleau (Quebec, Canada)
• 4-star No. 15 Lincoln Mageo (CA)
• 4-star No. 16 Reed Ramsier (FL)
• 4-star No. 19 Lucas Rhoa (CA)

Camara and Miller are the only in-state prospects in this group, and they’ve both been recruited by the likes of SMU and Oklahoma. It might take some time to win these guys over, but Texas has what it takes.

Miller has been all over, taking visits to Clemson and Texas Tech most recently. But he’s also taken six total visits to SMU, which is more than any other school. Texas will look to bring him in sometime soon, but it doesn’t have the best odds right now.

Camara, on the other hand, has been taking his time to evaluate his options and visits. So far, he’s only taken one visit to Texas, Oklahoma, SMU, Nebraska, and Arkansas. It’s looking like he wants to stay close to home, so this could get interesting.

Texas will still recruit the others, but has yet to really make an impact on them so far.
