What 4-Star WR Daylan McCutcheon will bring to the Longhorns
Daylan McCutcheon, a four-star receiver in the class of 2025, has flipped his commitment from Florida State to The University of Texas.
McCutcheon is 5-foot-11 and 175 pounds with great after-the-catch ability. This speedy receiver tallied 1,430 yards in the air on 94 receptions last season, along with an impressive 20 touchdowns. The new Texas pledge is also stellar on kickoff returns. He is very quick-footed and accelerates rapidly. He also has tremendous body control and agility, allowing him to evade defenders with ease.
McCutcheon has a knack for creating separation. His speed and footwork make it hard to stick to him and thus allows for big plays to be made. He is a deep threat on the field.
While he is proficient at catching the long bomb, McCutcheon also makes his money on yards after the catch. He is so shifty and elusive that defenders can barely get their hands on him. He also never gives up on a play and will always fight forward for extra yards, and even broken tackles.
McCutcheon is the second player in this recruiting class to flip from Florida State to Texas. Defensive lineman Myron Charles also flipped to Texas from FSU earlier this year.
