Texas Releases Player Avilability Report for Florida

By Published On: October 1, 2025

AUSTIN — The Texas Longhorns released their first official player availability report on Wednesday afternoon. The report consists of six players: one doubtful, three questionable, and two probable.

The one player listed as doubtful is running back CJ Baxter, who suffered a hamstring injury against UTEP. The injury kept him sidelined in the game against Sam Hosuton, and it’s looking like it may be the same situation in Gainesville.

On the bright side, the Longhorns did list starting running back Tre Wisner as questionable. It’s obviously not 100% certain that he’ll play, but head coach Steve Sarkisian has mentioned before that he’s making good progress.

Also listed as questionable is wide receiver Emmett Mosley. The Stanford transfer has not played this season yet, as he’s been dealing with a lower leg injury that even resulted in him missing fall camp. His return is looking rather optimistic.

The last player listed as questionable is backup cornerback Kobe Black. Black has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. It’s never good to be missing depth, but it’s unlikely that he would have a major impact against Florida, no matter what happens.

A pair of defensive backs joined the report as probable. Starting cornerback Malik Muhammad joined the report for undisclosed reasons, but it seems likely he’ll play, which is a major positive for the Longhorns.

Also listed as probably was Xavier Filsaime, the redshirt freshman safety. Filsaime suffered a shoulder injury against UTEP, and it forced him out of the game against Sam Houston. It’s looking likely he’ll be on the sideline on Saturday.

On the other side of the field, the Gators will be missing a decent amount, as they’ve listed six players as out. Running back Treyaun Webb is the most notable player on the report, as he’s a major role player in the ground game for Florida.
