Three Players Listed on Player Availability Report for Oklahoma

By Published On: October 9, 2025

AUSTIN — The Longhorns are slowly making progress with the number of injuries it is dealing with, as only three players are listed on the availability report, with one doubtful and two probable.

The player listed as doubtful is running back CJ Baxter, which is quite unfortunate news, considering how exciting it was to get Baxter back after he missed all of his 2024 campaign. He’s still working his way back from an injury sustained against UTEP.

The two listed as probably are cornerback Malik Muhammad and wide receiver Parker Livingstone.

Muhammad was unable to make his way to the field against Florida last week due to an unspecified injury. However, he is now expected to make his way back and start on Saturday against the Sooners.

Livingstone took a bit hit to his leg while making a catch in the game against the Gators last week, but head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke after, saying that X-rays were negative and he’s on track to return this week for the Red River Rivalry.

As of now, we’re really just waiting for Baxter to make his return. It will be nice to see him hit the field again, whenever it is, since injuries have been an issue for him and also because of Texas’ recent struggles on the ground.

Until then, Texas will face No. 6 Oklahoma in Dallas on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT, and the game will air on ABC.
