AUSTIN — The Texas Longhorns will have one of the best defensive rosters in the country this season. EA Sports is less than a month away from releasing the highly anticipated ‘College Football 25’ video.

As it gets closer to the release date EA has decided to drop ratings for teams on both sides of the ball. The defensive ratings were released this afternoon and it has Texas as the 8th best defense with a 88 overall.

It should be no surprise why the Longhorns are ranked so high as they return both starting defensive ends Ethan Burke and Barryn Sorell. Texas also has a ton of success in the transfer portal adding DE Trey Moore, DT Bill Norton, CB Jay’Vion Cole, and S Andrew Mukuba.

Here are the rest of the teams featured in the EA ratings drop

The Longhorns will be one of the all-around best rosters to play with in the new game as earlier today EA also released offensive ratings and Texas was 4th with a 91 rating. Longhorn Nation can lead Texas to its first national championship since 2005, while Steve Sarkisian looks to do the same without the controller.
