Longhorns Named 5th-Best Team in EA Sports College Football 25

By Published On: June 28, 2024

AUSTIN — After a week of different rankings released by EA Sports for their upcoming college football video game, the time has come to finally announce the final team power rankings. The Texas Longhorns are ranked as the 5th-best team in the upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 video game with a rating of 92 overall.

The 92 overall ranking is tied with the 4th overall team, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Texas’ ranking does not come as a surprise as the Longhorns have a top 5 offense in the video game as well as a top 8 defense. These ratings combined are good enough to earn the Horns the five spot in the upcoming game.

The Longhorns are one of seven SEC teams ranked in EA Sports’ top 25. The Georgia Bulldogs are the unanimous number team with a rating of 95 overall followed by the Tide and Horns at four a five respectively. Following the Horns, the LSU Tigers are ranked in the eight spot with a total rating of 90 overall. EA Sports has been very high on the Tigers, and their support has come with a lot of criticism from fans of the video game series.

The Longhorns’ biggest rivals, Texas A&M and Oklahoma, are both included in the top 25. A&M holds the 14 spot ahead of Ole Miss, while Oklahoma slides in at 17 with a total rating of 87 overall.

The final ratings for the Texas Longhorns are:

Offense – 91

Defense – 88

Overall – 92

The upcoming EA Sports College Football 25 will be released on July 19th, and Texas fans are looking to virtually take the Burnt Orange to their first national championship since 2005.
